Protecting Democracy Through Community Outreach

We’re dedicated to showing you how to protect our democracy through smart citizenship. We’re also launching new programs that explore the vital connection between government, democracy, and your personal finances, helping you understand their direct impact on your life.

Since our 2023 launch, First Responders for Democracy (FRD) has been dedicated to fostering informed citizenship. Our speakers actively engage communities through radio and TV appearances, and by giving presentations to local civic organizations. We’d love to speak to your organization — consider inviting us!

We’ve held successful events such as the Patriotic Picnic on July 6, 2024 which brought our community together for a day of relaxation and conversation. We’ve also presented several popular seminars at the Osher Institute of Lifelong Learning at Ringling College in Sarasota, including a well-received series in Spring 2025.

For 2025 First Responders for Democracy remains focused on educating citizens and providing objective, accurate, and useful information about American democracy. We’re committed to showing you how to protect our democracy through informed and engaged citizenship.

The Saving Democracy Institute

In addition to our ongoing seminars and talks, we’re excited to launch the Saving the Democracy Institute. It’s a democracy think tank with a difference: We’re providing information for citizens and voters. Our articles will be short, factual and understandable. No jargon and arcane theories here! Our goal is to empower every voter. We believe that informed and involved voters are anything but ordinary—they are a powerful force for democracy!
